In today's lesson, you need to complete a research task looking at how disability is reflected in TV Drama. How do contemporary TV Dramas deal with this and how are directors using characters to construct a notion of what disabled is and how people with differing disabilities are treated by society?
Make a list of four different TV Dramas that feature disabled characters and consider what the director is saying about the issue. How is the representation of disability constructed in your chosen examples. Remember to link your explanation to stereotypes. If you can find a clip, you could also include some evidence from the programme to support your discussions, but this is not a required element of the task.
