Pitching your idea.

1. You are required to document your planned marketing campaign before you begin to produce your first poster product. You have already posted your initial plans, including your branding and concept behind your campaign. This is your Pitch and you should have outlined how your campaign blends together the ethos of Fair Trade and the typical conventions of fashion posters? This is a brief outline of your practical plans and can be presented creatively if you like including your drawings of mock-ups and logo sketches plus any images that have inspired you.

2. Next you need to write a formal written description of your project intentions using media terminology. You need to post this on you blog under the title Statement of Intent.

You have to link your idea to the media theoretical framework:
  • Media Language (conventions of the products)
  • Media Audience (Target Audience)
  • Media Representation (How the message is constructed about groups of people and how the audience relate to these constructions)
  • Media Industries (The companies behind the products, the legal considerations and how profit is generated by the products. Considerations relating to cross-media platforms and where products will appear as part of the campaign.).
1. How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words)
  • Product 1: Two Billboard Posters
  • Product 2: Moving Image Advertisement
