Planning your shoots

Today's task is to create a filming schedule. You need to outline all of your planned shoots using a document like the example here. You can create this document using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. You will need to upload an image of your final document on your blog by the end of period 4.

Things to consider:
  1. When the shoot will happen - a clear date and time
  2. Location - where and what kind of setting
  3. A general description of how the shoot will fit into the film - you can refer to your storyboard to help you with this
  4. Characters - remember you do not have to use only the people in your group - you can employ actors and your group work as the production team
  5. Any filming equipment and props you will need
  6. How long your shoot will take to complete - remember that you will need to film the same scene a number of times to give you alternative footage for the editing stage
Task: Print out two copies of your schedule - one to hand in and one for your group to reference.
Create Call Sheets for each of the shoots outlining all of the equipment, props/costumes, actors, people, location and time, date and duration of shoot.

Here is an example of a call sheet (create your own version for each shoot and the person responsible for that will keep the sheet to help them complete the shoot on the agreed date):
