For your NEA brief you have to have a mimimum of two original images (taken yourself) and a minimum of one original image per page (2). Below is some guidance on getting good photos.
Choosing the right camera
- A DSLR is always the best choice. You can borrow the Media Department's camera for use during school and you also have access to the white room with lighting.
- A good quality phone camera may also be sufficient and would enable you to take photos at home although be careful with their automatic settings. Poor quality images (blurry/out of focus may count against you.)
- A GoPro camera can also generate quite interesting images due to the fish eye lens.
Taking the right shot
Look at the images below; what makes these images high quality and interesting? Think about the following:- framing
- lighting
- angle
- mise en scene
- direction of models
